Volume Two – “Mayonnaise in My Cake”

Welcome to the online birthplace of our second book titled “Mayonnaise in My Cake and Other Holiday Delights.”

On January 1, 2009, Two Plus Plus Productions LLC announced the release date of its second book (October 1, 2009 – Believe, Simply Believe; https://twoplusplus.wordpress.com/2009/01/01/october-1-2009-believe-simply-believe/ ). Since then, many people have encouraged us. For this, we are grateful.

The book is offered partly as a concession that the warmth of summer is behind us and that days and nights are increasingly colder. There are dramatic topics contained in the book – death, loss of a parent, and recalling to mind the plights of soldiers whose whereabouts are unknown.

But there are also moments that sparkle – a Christmas song whose chorus is sung by hundreds of guests, an aging film actor grasping for one more shot at stardom, and the raucous, rolling energy of professional football.

The Table of Contents for “Mayonnaise in My Cake and Other Holiday Delights” is shaping up as follows:

1. Mayonnaise in My Cake (short story)

2. Celebrating of Johnny Parks (radio play about a tribute to sportscaster Johnny Parks)

Summary: For fifty years, Johnny Parks broadcast sporting events ranging from baseball and football to horse races and tennis.

CELEBRATING JOHNNY PARKS is an occasion to remember Parks’ body of work as a sportscaster. His portfolio, summarized from two sporting events, reveals the depths of his abilities to tell stories which effect listeners.
