I definitely recommend this convention. Finally a convention that is nostalgic in every sense of the word, that covers all genres of entertainment. A show that is extremely fan friendly and one that has great interaction between celebrities and their fans.

Kevin,

Thanks for commenting! What would you recommend fans do first at the Convention?

Best,

William,
I have been attending the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention(MANC) since it’s inception. This convention is terrific on so many levels. Where else can you meet celebrities from your youth, get the chance to act in a re-creation of an Old Time Radio show, watch classic TV shows and movies 24/7(literally), watch panels on nostalgic and historical events(from glass slides shown between silent features to actual TV coverage of the JFK assassination), and have the chance to buy anything from Old Radio Shows and comic books to classic periodicals in the past, all in the course of 3 fun-filled days? Only MANC. It is incredibly affordable(a big thing in these troubling economic times) and well worth your time and money. What’s the first thing to do when you get there? Anything you want! Hope to see you there!

Drive In movie theater last year was cool. Getting to meet Celeste Holm and Lee Meriwether on the same weekend? Where else but MANC? Bought an issue number one of Honey West last year. The Green Hornet presentation was great. Not sure what you would want to do first, Will, as there is so much going on at the same time. Depends on your tastes and you adjust your schedule accordingly.

5. Jim Widner - April 8, 2009

I’ve been attending this convention since the beginning, though I did have to miss one. It is an event that, if you can attend, is highly recommended. There is never a dull moment as Martin Grams jr. & friends have made sure you are constantly entertained: from the nearly non-stop rare and classic films running in the film room, to the dealers’ room, the frequent appearances by the actors all keep you hopping. Added treats such as constantly running panels about everything from radio nostalgia to books, to films keep one stimulated.

And as someone mentioned above, the drive-in films are a lot of fun. If you have an opportunity to consider a visit, I would definitely take it.

I wanted to ask what is the dealers room?
