In an upcoming interview, Dirk Maggs of BBC Radio, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Judge Dredd, and many other productions, encourages radio dramatists and producers to show off audio’s range of storytelling. From making men fly to conveying intimacies between loved ones, he says, “We should all have bumper stickers saying ‘switch off your tube and LISTEN to something tonight’!”

Maggs goes on to talk of the power of radio and audio, overcoming big broadcasters who undersell spoken word productions, and lists some of his favorite dramas and comedies.

Where is this interview? In the Tuesday 6 February 2007 “Three Questions” column right here at Lit Between the Ears.
