Our listing of Jack Armstrong in the Great Beginnings column (30 November 2006) overlooked St. John Terrell as the first actor to voice Jack. Terrell’s career ranged far and wide; he was a fire-eater in a carnival, produced the first season of the Bucks County Playhouse in 1939, founded the Lambertville Music Circus in 1949, and originated the Christmas day re-enactments of Washington’s Crossing of the Delaware, and played the role of George Washington, starting in 1953.

Great Beginnings welcomes St. John Terrell to its revised Jack Armstrong listing.
