The Old Radio Times is The Official Publication of the Old-Time Radio Researchers (OTRR) and is published on a monthly basis.
Of particular note in the April issue is the article titled Recalling the Day A Giant Monster Attacked Bristol, Tennessee by Bob Cox. Sixteen years after Orson Welles and Mercury Theatre on the Air scared the country with “War of the Worlds”, WCYB radio personality, Eddie Cowell, staged his own invasion on January 23, 1954 by telling his listening audience that a monster was rampaging downtown Bristol.
Also of note are the following:
- Irving Vermilya: America’s #1 Amateur by Donna Halper
- Fessenden Gives Radio Its Voice by Don Kimberlin
- If You Like Black and White Movies by Ned Norris
