Lit Between the Ears and Two Plus Plus Productions are proud to present SIEGE AT SORREL RIFT by Veronica Paulina and starring Jason Downs and Lori Wilner.

SIEGE is about the passion between newlyweds Kaden Blood and Catherine Cobalt Blood. It is also about their two children, Elizabeth and Nathan, and the family they begin at Sorrel Rift.

However, when Kaden and Catherine’s intense desires become a bitter divorce, and Sorrel Rift is figuratively split apart, their family, and all four lives are in danger.

Episode One – Recap

Episode One introduced Kaden and Catherine Blood in their home at Sorrel Rift.

Episode Two – Recap

This episode opened with Kaden Blood speaking to the readers of The Ex-Press, his magazine for divorced mothers and fathers. The episode ended with The Narrator’s foreboding words for Lizzie and Nathan.

And now, Episode Three

With their marriage in ruin, and divorce pending, Kaden is recalling the love he felt for Catherine on their wedding day:

I made a promise to Catherine, my wife

That I’d love and keep her though rich or poor

Before family and friends I did assure

That I’d run from neither trouble nor strife

I’d block the uxorial carving knife

I believed that Catherine was also sure

And that wedding words had never been truer

I gave her my heart for all of my life.”

Meanwhile, Lizzie, who has recruited a vast network of children from families waging vicious divorces, decides she and her mates “in bands through the cyber pass” can and will end their “civil morass.” She closes the episode by rallying the Rifts – the nickname for other children whose parents are going through bitter divorces:

Under the covers her sobs she smothers

Then Lizzie leaps up in the moon’s pale glow

Burning with hate for fathers and mothers

Who fear and spite on their children bestow

Fires the charge to the sisters and brothers

All children of the rifts, Lizzie says “Go!”
