Lit Between the ears is pleased to introduce the band Suspyre to its readers.
Formed in 2001, Suspyre’s brand of progressive/symphonic metal can be attributed to the band members’ wide range of influences.
Clay Barton (Vocals), Andrew Distabile (Bass), Gregg Rossetti (Guitars and Saxophone), and Rich Skibinsky (Guitars and Keyboards) combine progressive rock and metal with diverse genres such as classical and jazz.
Quoting from the band’s website:
Suspyre’s goal is to further develop and perfect their fusion of varied musical inspirations and influences to create songs and albums with an even higher degree of artistic value and commercial appeal.”
Lit Between the Ears sampled some of the band’s music and was not disappointed. From THE SILVERY IMAGE, released in October of 2005, clips such as Last of the Survivors . . .
. . . to Distant Skies . . .
. . . to the full cut The City Under Sands . . .
. . . Suspyre rocks.
