Radio Drama Revival!, in tandem with FinalRune Productions, is proud to premiere FinalRune’s first original fantasy drama, “Fall of the Hero.” “Hero” tells the story of Sir Grace, a mighty knight whose courage and valor is known throughout the realms. But when he is summoned by a wizard of ambiguous intentions, he is forced to confront his greatest enemy yet: himself.

Anne has been foraying into non-fiction (expect book reviews soon!), and has had her first profile published in Fly Magazine, a global music website based in the UK. It is on composer Robert Voisey:

Immaculate Misconception by “Father of the Pill” Dr. Carl Djerassi
This Saturday, June 2 from 10 pm – midnight on 89.3 KPCC, L.A. Theatre Works’ The Play’s the Thing continues its new Relativity science series with An Immaculate Misconception by “Father of the Pill” Dr. Carl Djerassi, starring JoBeth Williams, Philip Casnoff, and Kevin Kilner. Reproductive scientist Dr. Melanie Laidlaw is intent on giving birth using the reproductive technology she is pioneering. But before she can claim credit for either her scientific discovery or motherhood, she must overcome the professional designs of another research scientist. The broadcast includes an interview with Dr. Carl Djerassi.
The Play’s the Thing series
Thanks to a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the first broadcast each month of The Play’s The Thing will be a science-themed play. Each play in the Relativity series is available for podcasting at http://www.npr.org/ for three months following the broadcast.

In the first half of the hour writer Brant Lyon will read from and discuss his novel-in-progress, Oasis and Mirage, a bi-cultural romance set in contemporary rural Egypt.
In the second half pianist Anthony de Mare will discuss his performance and arrangement of piano music for The Missing Peace Concert, a musical response to The Rubin Museum’s exhibition of the same title, which focuses on the teachings of the Dalai Lama.
